The grand opening of our cooking project was pretty successful, if we may say so ourselves... thanks to everyone who shared this special meal with us and to Stevie for the pictures... and of course to those who spent time cleaning and organizing pre and post supper. The chefs for this supper included: Rebecca, Alyssa, Maria and Kartika. Our volunteer sommelier for the evening was Iain.
Menu included an assortment of canapes as appetizers, followed by a Roasted Red Bell Pepper Soup and Arugula and Goat Cheese Salad. Entrees included Coq Au Riesling, Ratatouille and Roasted Potatoes. Desserts included Oreo Ice-Cream Cake as well as a Meringue Ice-Cream Cake with flambeed berries.
Other highlights of the evening.... Koen and Matt's surprise birthday celebrations, Stevie climbing things, Molly begging for food, Pimm's and fire. Can't wait for July supper!
